10 things I am looking forward to about not being pregnant anymore

This December is very special for me because nine months of pure pregnancy fun (wink wink) are coming to an end and I must say: I have severely underestimated the process of producing a human being in one’s own uterus. So, in order to celebrate and anticipate the soon ending of my pregnancy, I have composed a list of the top ten things I am looking forward to about not being pregnant anymore.

3 sustainable ideas for new clothes, fresh food and used books

East side gallery in Berlin This is my sixth week of bed rest prescribed by my gynecologist due to premature labour. And let me tell you: although it might seem pretty “chill” to be officially allowed to lie around all day in PJs watching Netflix, reading books and ordering stuff from the internet – if […]

What I didn’t expect, since I’ve been expecting

And then suddenly you are pregnant. One random morning before work you pee on a stick, see the little second pink line in the control window and realize: everything will change now. And as if this mental load that you have to carry around for three months without being able to tell anyone else than […]

Italy at its best: Cinque Terre

I bought a wonderful book at the Frankfurt book fair in 2017: it is called “Wanderlust” and presents the most amazing hiking trails in the world. One of the easiest trails of the book is located in Italy in an area protected by the Unesco called “Cinque Terre”; a natural reserve I – at this […]

Two and a half earths just for me

Two and a half earths. Two and a half! If everybody on this planet lived the way I live, we would need two and a half earths! This seemed totally unbelievable to me at first. I spent the past few years mentally patting myself on the back because I was under the impression I was […]

If you are already thinking about next year’s summer vacation let me give you five reasons for spending your precious leisure time in beautiful Croatia.

All eyes on Offenbach

Let me assure you: I decided to move there five years ago very consciously (and sober) and I even enjoy living in […]

Ridiculously beautiful: The Andaman on Langkawi

Have you ever been to a place that seemed so ridiculously beautiful that you had to pinch yourself to make sure you were not dreaming? I have. And sometimes, when I sit at home on my sofa, back in everyday life, I have a hard time realizing that those vacation pictures (check them out below) […]

Hot stuff in Singapore

Traveling large distances always seems very magical to me. You step on a plane, wait for a couple of hours and end up someplace totally different – for example in Singapore, if you’re lucky. Singapore is way more than just a stop-over city. During my 3-week vacation in March I have spent seven days and […]

Minimum viable dates (and what to expect from them)

Everybody loves Spaghetti This week I had dinner with some colleagues (mixed Gyoza, Sushi and half a piece of Gateau au chocolat at iimori Gyoza-Bar, in case you are wondering). One of those colleagues at the table was Dennis (this is not his real name, obviously). Dennis is very active when it comes to dating […]
